The Lyons Award is named after Global Connections President and CEO, Tom Lyons, and is awarded to an exceptional employee selected from more than 200 candidates. Company executives narrow the field down to a group of eight deserving employees and then select the winner. The winner receives a crystal engraved trophy as well as a cash bonus.
Heather is a supervisor in the travel fulfillment center in Clearwater, Florida, a position which demands multi-tasking. Not only does she assist travel club members booking condominium Vacation Weeks, she is tasked with organizing the Florida office, including employee events and activities.
“Heather is an important player on our team,” said Kelli B., Global Connections’ Director of Fulfillment. “She is thoroughly connected to members and other employees, making everybody’s day better with a fantastic attitude and ability to get things done.”
Other Global Connections employees named as finalists include Leslie C., Human Resources; Marla D., Travel Department Reception; Lisa D., Housekeeping; Debbie H., Condominium Reservations; Magdalena H., Housekeeping; Diana S., Member Services; and Corey T., Creative Department. Each employee was nominated by a Global Connections manager.
“Our entire team makes me proud. It was a difficult choice selecting only one for this award,” said Tom Lyons. “Each person contributes special skills and talents to our organization and we all pull together toward the common goal of providing affordable annual vacations.”
