Here at Global Connections Inc., we don’t only love travel, we also adore animals. So each month we feature a Pet of the Month in our Global Connections employee newsletter. Why keep the cuteness all to ourselves?
Here we give you the twelve months of pets from 2016, loving cared for by employees of Global.
Mr. January: Nancy R.’s pup is named after Rob Gronkowski (No. 87 of the New England Patriots), which is her favorite team. Nancy’s family adopted the German Shepard/ Rottweiler mix when he was eight weeks old in Daytona, FL. And just like No. 87, Gronk is going to be a big boy, probably around 100 lbs.!
Ms. February: Erin is Jennifer C.’s 10-year-old American Kennel Club Black Labrador Retriever who lives in Breckenridge, Colorado.
Mr. March: Meet Oscar, Chelsi M.’s long-haired dachshund named after the Oscar Meyer wiener. His favorite things are giving kisses, playing with bunnies (when he catches them), eating and sleep in Kansas.
Ms. April: Little Adler came into Corey T.’s life at the tender age of eight weeks. She has taken the Schnauzer community by storm with her cuteness and even has her own Instagram following(@lil_adler).
Mr. May: Dudley was Jermaine B.’s Black Bear Syrian hamster. He liked to take really long naps, run in his ball (only at night), run is his “soundless” wheel and eat his days away in Missouri. Sadly, Dudley passed away a few months after his debut at Global. RIP, little guy.
Mr. June: Lukas, aka Luke, Louis, Lou Dog, Cool Hand Luke, Duke, Dukas, is a German Shephard and the Lodge by The Blue mascot to expert hiker Nicolas W. Luke’s favorite pastimes are eating, hiking, swimming, peaking 14ers, rock climbing, hanging out with chipmunks and snowboarding in Breckenridge, Colorado.
Mr. July: Brian S. rescued Willie from a Kansas City homeless animal shelter. He says anyone looking to adopt a dog should consider the older dogs. They will fill your heart with love faster than any puppy because they already know how to love and desperately desire to have it again in their lives.
Mr. August: After two years of a crazy cat obsession, Tiffany O.’s 4-year-old daughter finally got her wish: A new baby kitten they adopted at the Olathe, Kansas, Animal Shelter. Behold Biggie Smalls, a.k.a. “The Notorious C.A.T.”
The Ladies of September: Sherri C.’s home in Orlando backs up to a sub-division where people dump cats and kittens. Here are Loki and Freya, two kittens they saved. What can she say? Sherri just can’t stand to see homeless animals.
Ms. October: Steve G. discovered Marla abandoned on the side of the road in Orlando. His family took her in just in time for his daughters’ birthdays. Although not twins, they were born on the same day! The family fell in love with her.
The Ladies of November: Emmy (the ginger) and Bimini (the brindle) are both rescues who live in Orlando. Greg M. saved them from terrible abuse. While they were rescued separately, the pair are now inseparable.
Mr. December: Theodorable is Joe F.’s hamster and lives in Orlando. His biggest joys are sleeping, carrots and escaping from his cage.
