Instead of our usual booth setup, this year’s convention introduced the use of kiosks for vendors. The kiosk’s screen display allowed Global Connections to run a comprehensive slideshow showcasing our new and existing products.
Melanie Gring, Vice President Strategic Alliances and Public Relations, says the kiosks were a great improvement over the former trade booth format.
“The kiosks were spaced well, clearly marked and informative. The Marketplace was welcoming to all attendees who visited,” Melanie said. “This is the first year in very long time I noticed a large number of conversations occurring at each individual kiosk.”
Global Connections was a finalist for four ARDY awards, in the categories of Logo Design (GCI Anniversary logo), Newsletter: Electronic Format (Global Observer), and Social Media Campaign (Bracket List Challenge and Shoot for the Stars Campaign).
Global once again showed its leadership in the vacation industry by having two of its team members speaking on key industry topics at this year’s ARDA WORLD convention.
Our referral and lead generation guru Steven Grecco, Director of Sales and Marketing, shared his expertise on “How to Rejuvenate a Referral Program” by outlining best practices in the areas of motivation, options and fulfillment.
Melanie spoke on “Creating Raving Fans,” where she outlined Global Connections’ successes in using social media campaigns and contests to engage members and retain customers. She further addressed the value of online presence to grow brand reputation and the best practices when utilizing tools of influencer marketing and social media listening.
