We recently got a great and rather touching story from Scott N., one of our distributors. His words are better than ours, so here’s what Scott shared with his long-time colleagues and business partners Cathy Wunder and Tom Lyons.
“The attached image is the plant that you all sent us in August 2002 in congratulations of us opening our first store here in Salt Lake City.
In the beginning, we had a tough time keeping this plant alive: keeping it in the best spot for light, making sure it was watered correctly, etc. It’s been on several road trips with us: Las Vegas in 2003 when we moved there to open our second office, Roseville, Calif., in 2009 to open RVCA.
There were several times when we thought it was done and over, and came close to discarding it, but we hung on to it and continued to nurture it.
It’s flourishing now. It needs a stick for added support (don’t we all need that as we age?) but is nonetheless thriving.
This is due mostly to the fact that we finally found the perfect place for it. In the window that gets the perfect sunlight, and in sight so it reminds us to water it on schedule.
It’s such a representation of GTN’s journey in the past 15 years, and a reminder that Global Connections has been with us every step of the way.
Thank you for the past 15 years, and we look forward to many more years of flourishing.”
